Robert Moir, founder of Elk Rock Capital Partners, has served as the Managing Principal since the Company’s inception in 2007. Mr. Moir brings over 30 years of experience in mortgage and real estate capital markets, focusing primarily on the sale and acquisitions of mortgage whole loans secured by commercial and residential real estate.
Prior to founding Elk Rock, Mr. Moir was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers, where he was a member of the Banking Specialty Group advising bank clients on mortgage sales and structures. Mr. Moir led Lehman Brothers into the origination of small balance commercial mortgage loans and servicing.
Prior to Lehman, Mr. Moir was Vice President of Wilshire Financial Services Group, where he sourced and managed loan acquisitions.
